Decorative downlight bezels

A while back I was approached by a client who was looking for a way to soften the appearance of some downlights in the house they were restoring. They particularly wanted a look that better suited the age of the property and also sat well along side their new oak kitchen.

Giving it some thought and with a view to designing a product that could be appealing to a larger market, I came up with these easily installed, wooden caps called bezels, that can be retrofitted to existing downlights as well as attaching to new ones.

Below are some simple styles that will fit most locations but I’m always happy to work with clients to create bezels that are tailored to match their home and its décor.

The bezels are hand turned by me and come finished in a washable resin making them easily cleaned and suitable to be installed in humid situations such as bathrooms and kitchens.

They’re priced at £30 each with a 10% reduction on orders over £200. This does not include postage.

Payment can be made by card over the phone or by BACS.

Your choice of wood

The three options below are readily available in the UK and offer a variety of tones that should fit most homes.

If you spend a little time browsing my site you will come across other species that you might prefer to use. If so

please contact me for their availability and price.

Ash

A pale, delicate looking wood traditionally valued for its strength and flexibility. Used for all sorts of purposes from the finest furniture to tool handles and the frames of Morris Travellers.

Oak

A beautiful, warm, strong wood that people never seem to tire of having in their homes, and I feel with good reason.

Black Walnut

A lush, dark chocolate coloured wood that works particularly well in rooms with dynamic decoration.
